[platform-dev] Platform-scripting-dev mailing list issue

Platform Committers,

Many of you probably got an erroneous message last night asking you to
subscribe to the platform-scripting-dev mailing list.  I wanted to
explain what happened, and send our apologies for the incorrect email.

We are relying on the information supplied to us by the projects in the
project meta-data database.  This is the database built from the
information previously contained in the project-info.xml files.
Projects are responsible for maintaining this data and it can be managed
from the MyFoundation Portal by any committer on the project.  It seems
this list is still assigned to the project in that database.  I will
remove the erroneous list from the database.  Apologies again for the
spurious emails.

I'll be following up on the eclipse.org-committers list with an
explanation for everyone about why we're doing this in more detail.
