Re: [platform-ant-dev] External Tool name restrictions

I haven't noticed this restriction; there is no such restriction in recent
builds. Was this added in Simon's recent work?

Please respond to
platform-ant-dev
The current external tools implementation limits the name of a tool to
letters, numbers, hyphens, and spaces. This means people can't use
parenthesis or braces (among other things), both of which can be useful.
I can understand disallowing characters that are used for parsing (for
example ','), but otherwise why do we care how people name their external
tools?
