[pde-dev] Open a file without importing ?

Greetings,

Does anyone know of an eclipse plugin which lets you open a file (using the installed eclipse editors) *without* having to import it into an eclipse project ?

 

Or in other words , is there a "File System browser" plug-in for eclipse that anyone is aware of ?

 

I tried searching through the archives and spent time googling but could not locate any plugin which serves the above.
