Re: [papyrus-rt-dev] Target Platform for Papyrus-RT 0.9 Release

HI Christian,

Will the EMF Compare build that we want to target also be available in the Neon Simrel?

No, unfortunately not. I'm planning to do a release of the current custom EMF Compare nightly build to the "integration" build to pin the version that is delivered. For the future, I'm aiming at consuming the official EMF Compare simrel version from Oxygen on.

Thanks and best wishes,

Philip

Hi, Team,

In parallel with Ernesto’s work on updating bundle versions to 0.9, I’m looking at preparing the installer build, which includes the Oomph product catalogue.  In the Oomph catalogue, we explicitly identify releases of
  • Papyrus — Papyrus-RT 0.8 required version exactly 2.0.1, that being [2.0.1, 2.0.2) in OSGi-speak
  • CDT — Papyrus-RT 0.8 required version 9.1, which is Neon.1
  • ELK — Papyrus-RT 0.8 required version 0.1, not on the train AFAIK
  • Papyrus Designer — Papyrus-RT 0.8 required version 1.0.3
Other dependencies are not explicitly versioned:
  • EGit and the custom EMF Compare builds as in the Tester setup
  • everything else from the latest Neon.x Simultaneous Release
So, what do we want for the 0.9 release?  I would assume
  • Papyrus [2.0.3, 3.0.0)
  • CDT 9.2.1
  • ELK 0.1 still (they have since released 0.1.1 and 0.2.0, but has anybody tried them?)
  • Papyrus Designer has no other release, so default to 1.0.3 still
but I wouldn’t mind simplifying this by just letting Papyrus, CDT, and Git be fetched from the Neon Simultaneous Release along with everything else.  Will the EMF Compare build that we want to target also be available in the Neon Simrel?

Thanks,

Christian
