Re: [papyrus-rt-dev] Oomph Setup for Developers is Catalogued

You are right. My mistake. Sorry for the false alarm. I had the Mars product pre-selected.

I have now updated the wiki.

Hi, Ernesto,

Probably you just chose the wrong time to run the setup, while a p2 repository was being replaced by a build.

The publication of the setup model in the Oomph catalogue in no way changes the setup.  It is the same version of the same file on the same website as before.  This needn’t hold up changes to the documentation.

(the setup worked fine for me this morning when I removed the explicit website location from my user catalogue and imported everything again via the central catalogue)

Hmmm, the setup fails! See the error below. Looks like some papyrus dependencies are missing. Can others try it and see if they get these errors?

I'll hold the changes to the wiki until this is resolved.

I'll update the instructions in the wiki.

As for https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/70911/, I'm not merging it yet for two reasons: 1) I'm waiting on clarification from the Xtext people regarding the IP consequences of including their (Itemis) ANTLR runtime, as there is some confusion about it, and 2) while the EMF generation works for Christian, for some reason, it fails on my machine.

Hi Peter,

That is absolutely reasonable.

Ernesto: Are you OK with this?

Hi,

I assume that the page will require additional changes whenever https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/70911/ is merged as well (the instructions about manually generating code for EMF and Xtext projects can be removed I guess). I myself have little insight into editing the screenshots (and also the fact that they are not taken on Windows, which is the only platform I have), I guess it is probably best if Ernesto continues to make the updates to keep the screen shots look-and-feel consistent.

Maybe best to coordinate the update of both these aspects when the Gerrit change has been merged.

However, we should update the development setup instructions one the wiki so there is no more need to use the website URL.

Ernesto, Peter, as the people who took care of these pages (Neon and Mars) in the past, could you please have a look at this?

Hi, Team,

Just a quick note to let you know that the Papyrus-RT setup model for developers is now published in the Oomph Catalogue.  It sits there just below its cousin Papyrus.

So, if you were waiting for this train, hop on now!  But if you were already using the set-up, having manually added it to your user setups via the Papyrus website URL, then you don’t need to do anything because you are already pulling the same setup from the same source, just via a different reference.

Cheers,

Christian
