Hi all,
I am Michael Picht, working for the OSPO of SAP. I find the OSPO Alliance quite interesting, in particular that it is meant to be cross-foundation.
In the European Chapter of the TODO Group we are currently discussing to start an “OSPO Roundtable”. Background is that some of us were approached by companies that are just starting their open source journey. They want to start an OSPO
an are seeking for some advice. Our idea is to bring these companies together in an “OSPO Roundtable” where they can exchange and also get advice. Normally, these companies are not member of the Linux Foundation or the TODO Group and it shouldn’t be a prerequisite
for the OSPO Roundtable to be member in any foundation. We are currently investigating where such a community could be hosted. Would it be possible to host that at the OSPO Alliance?
Since none of us has the time to do the hosting (set up the meeting/invite, moderate the meeting, take care of the agenda and the minutes etc.) we would need someone to take care of this. Could the OSPO Alliance take over these tasks?
The web site of the OSPO Alliance mentions “members”. What exactly does that mean? When is it required that a company becomes a member?
Thanks and best regards,
Michael
