Splitting the two up was originally an experiment in creating a strongly task-focused UI

What about the concept of views arranged in perspectives from desktop Eclipse ?
I thought the left pane could host the navigator view and the main pane could host the editor view...
Do you have plans to port this powerful Eclipse concept over ?
