RE: [mylyn-dev] Use of [patch] in bugzilla

Good question.  This is an informal policy that we decided on a call in order to help us prioritize bugs with patches higher than others.  It is a work-around for the fact that we don’t have a fix for this yet:

196032: decoration for pending patches / needs review

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=196032

It can be added by either contributor or committer.  If committers continue employing it and finding it helpful, and we don’t get to solving that bug in the near future, then we can add it to the Contributor Reference.

Subject: [mylyn-dev] Use of [patch] in bugzilla

Hi, sorry for spamming the list with this quick question, but I noted recently you started to prefix some bugs with pending reviews with "[patch]" in summary.

Is that supposed to be made by me/contributor after submiting a patch to signal you that a patch was posted, or is it just a internal convention?

I haven't found anything about that in contributor reference (http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylyn_Contributor_Reference#Patches ).

Thanks.
