Why rename RC1 to RC2?

When *my* team gets the RC2 component zips, I do not need to field questions on why I am missing an RC2 zip or two.

Check the newsgroups, other teams were looking for M7, even though nothing changed between M6 and M7 for some components.

Just makes things consistent.

Why bother to rename them if nothing has changed? Just wait 'till GA and
rename RC1 -> R. I thought the whole point of RCs was that if nothing
needed to respin, the RC would become the R without having to go through
the optional 7 weeks of stabilization & respins.
