Team,
FYI, you can use the information at http://dash.eclipse.org/dash/commits/web-app/active-committers.cgi?project=modeling.mdt
in making your decision about removal of inactive committers.

Team,
Congratulations on a (mostly) successful Europa release! Despite a few
hiccups, I think things went reasonably well. Note that there are still
a few 1.0 plan items that are not yet in resolved state - please
work toward getting your bugs updated in Bugzilla as soon as you can.
At this time, I'd like to call on your help in doing a post mortem on the
MDT 1.0 release. It would be great if you could share your perspectives
on what went well and what didn't go so well for this release, and also
any ideas you may have on improvements we can make for the next release.
I'll do my best to work with the Modeling PMC and our committer representatives
at the Foundation to ensure that your feedback is given proper consideration.
Now is also the time to start planning for the next release. I will be
putting together a draft plan for MDT 1.1 over the next few weeks. Please
start thinking about the items you would like to include for your components.
Finally, there are a number of committers on the various MDT components
that were inactive during this development cycle (i.e. they haven't committed
any changes in the past year). Component leads, please give some thought
as to whether any of the committers on your component should be removed.
Note the following excerpt from the Eclipse Development Process:
Becoming a Committer is a privilege that is earned by contributing
and showing discipline and good judgment. It is a responsibility that should
be neither given nor taken lightly, nor is it a right based on employment
by an Eclipse Member company or any company employing existing committers.
We, as the MDT development team, have a responsibility to ensure that (all
of the) committers on the MDT project influence the project's development
in a positive way; IMHO, it does not serve the Eclipse community's best
interests to retain committers that do not actively participate in this
development...
Thanks,
Kenn Hussey
