[mdt-papyrus.dev] Planing for pre- and post- Mars Release

Hi all,

The Mars RC4 build has been completed a couple of days ago, but that’s not the end of the Mars release yet :)

The next steps for Mars are now 1.1.0a and 1.1.1 (SR1). We noticed (a little bit too late to fix) a regression in the Stereotype Display properties view [1]. This bug is now fixed and should be part of SR0a. Additionally, this properties view highlighted a few refresh [2] and commands [3] issues in the new Stereotype Display mechanism (Which were mostly hidden when manipulating the display via CSS only). We’ll try to fix these for RC4a as well.

Some extra components will also need to be completed/improved/fixed until RC4a, so that they are ready for the release

In parallel, SR1 is in three months (Mid/End september), and should include a few improved features, in addition to the various bug fixes.

We’ll create two new branches for these targets:

-          streams/1.1.0a-maintenance

o   Should include only fixes for the 3 bugs mentioned

-          streams/1.1-maintenance

o   Mars SR branch

We’ll use two branches so that work towards RC4a doesn’t block work towards SR1

And master will become the “Neon” branch

The branches will be created once the build refactoring is “stable” (But probably not “complete”), i.e. when all 7 builds are back to normal (Currently only 3 builds are running).
