RE: [mdt-papyrus.dev] Papyrus Progress and intends

Correct if I am worng, but I do not see any reason to put the on the Papyrus svn the code generated from EEF for the properties view of Papyrus. This is the code of the EEF generator which is under review at Eclipse and not one code that is generated from EEF.

I prefer too to use Eclipse website.
But we can't because of IP of EEF which isn't finished.

So, we have two solutions : to ask you to wait, or to propose this updatesite which isn't public, except for people which read this mailing list. Of course, I know our website in't official and we do it only to help you to test our work very easily. I hope this temporary solution will enjoy you and will be only temporary.

Hi,

Sounds good for the work on the property.

For the update site in the OBEO web site, I do not think it is good idea, and I would vote against. I prefer we have it in the Eclipse web site.

So why not having it on the Eclipse web site? What is the problem?

I remain you that the official web site for Papyrus is the one of Eclipse and not the one of OBEO.

Finally, you then propose a fork on your website because in this version you integrate the EEF work! Please make sure to indicate it is not the same version as the one that can be downloaded from the Eclipse web site.

Regards... Sébastien.

Hi All,

Two weeks ago, I rewrote the properties view in order to use the new
Eclipse project : EEF (Extended Editing Framework). I have not commited
this contribution because I wanted waiting the end of EEF CQ approval
plan to the middle of March 2009.

In the two next week, until the EEF source code is hosted on the Eclipse
svn repository, we will create an update-site on the Obeo.fr website. So
that all Papyrus commiters could install the EEF runtime and SDK. And I
could commit my code.

I also updated this update-site with a new build from the HEAD version
(2009/03/16). This version also include the EEF based properties view
contribution. You can find here :
http://www.obeo.fr/download/papyrus/incubation

Cheers,
Jérôme.

weeks and then the two week after.

Thank you,
