Subject: [EXTERNAL] [mat-dev] Prepare a MAT 1.16 Release

Over one year has passed since MAT 1.15.0 was released, and in this time we haven’t engaged in a review (AFAIK we should do it once a year).
I received also complains, that the dependencies we bring with the standalone MAT installation are too old.
Therefore, I would like to prepare and schedule a review and a release for MAT 1.16 and try to get it out at the end of this year or the beginning of 2025.
This time we will release “on our own”, as I didn’t prepare the release on time for the 2024-12 Eclipse release.
So, my plan is to:
·
release MAT 1.16 now/soon, and there the standalone version would use Eclipse 2024-12
·
add the 1.16 MAT version to the 2025-03 Eclipse release
·
if time permits, do another (service ?) release of MAT together with the Eclipse 2025-03 simultaneous release
Any objections / feedback?
Regards,
Krum
