[m2e-dev] Teach Eclipse validators to ignore target directory

I've seen this floating around for a while with a number of different suggestions on what the correct thing to tell Eclipse is, but I've never seen a solid solution which really solves https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-1177 .

Does anyone have any input which I could turn into some code and submit back?
