Hi
Thomas and all.
I
know of some recent attempt to make OSGI bundles for the
OSLC packages. It’s ongoing work, but initial experiments
seems to be promising. The purpose is not necessarily to
include it in an Eclipse project though.
The
work is currently not performed as part of the Lyo project
(members are not on this mailing list) But there could be
an interest in such a solution.
Are
you planning to do this packaging? Are you facing any
problems?
regards

Subject: Re: [lyo-dev] Subset of OSLC4J as OSGI
bundle
I
don't know of any effort or demand for such a solution.
OSLC4J is not an eclipse plugin, does not use any eclipse
plugins, and is not shipped as part of eclipse. Rather
OSLC4J is developed in the eclipse/Lyo project using the
eclipse processes and resources.
There
could be future projects (eclipse or not) that wish to
exploit OSLC4J to build OSLC clients and servers that may be
deployed as eclipse plugins. These projects could use the
OSLC4J SDK and their content would likely utilize OSGI. But
its not clear OSLC4J needs to do this as by itself, it is
not something that is installed in eclipse.

[lyo-dev]
Subset of OSLC4J as OSGI bundle
Sent
by: lyo-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx
Dear Lyo developers &
users,
we are intending to prepare CQs for a re-packaged
version of (a subset
of) OSLC4J 2.1.0 (to be used as an OSGI bundle), so that
it can be used
within Eclipse project. I saw Michaels proposal here
https://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/lyo-dev/msg00793.html
that seems to seek for a similar solution. Is there any
progress on
this? Has anyone experience? Is anyone seeking for
similar approach?
Best
Thomas
