Re: [linuxtools-dev] LTTng Trace Control (Eclipse LinuxTools)?

Hi Daniel,

LTTng Trace Control is a feature due for Indigo. We had it work
internally and updated the User Guide (wiki) before it made it into an
official Linux Tools build. Sorry about that.

However, it has been part of the nightly builds for a few weeks now
and you can get it from the Linux Tools update site
(http://download.eclipse.org/technology/linuxtools/updates-nightly).
This should provide you with the LTTng connection type mentioned in
the UG.

If you want the source code, it is available from the Eclipse
repository (http://git.eclipse.org/c/linuxtools/org.eclipse.linuxtools.git/).

A remarks:

The DSDP project is folding and the TCF moved to the CDT code base. It
will be officially delivered with CDT 8.0 (Indigo). I currently use
the RC1 candidate (see
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/builds/8.0.0/index.html). I
believe that it hasn't changed at all and that you can use the new one
transparently. It worked for us but let me know if you have problems.

Regards,
