Would you consider opening a bug for this one? Bugs are also a great place to discuss the specifics of a particular issue (like the Events model).

If you don't have an Eclipse bugzilla account, you can create one at: http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs.

For LTTng bugs, you can file them under the project: Technology/Linux Tools. The component is LTTng.
