Feel free to call it anything you like. For example, I still call it JAX-RS. But I won't change any names officially, as we shouldn't change things again and again and again… that just confuses users!

I wonder what you all think about renaming the project for 3.1 from "Jakarta RESTful Web Services" to just "Jakarta REST"?

 

I think the shorter snappier name feels much better, and I've actually seen people already using it unofficially.

 

Thoughts?
