Hi Otavio,

To me it's outside of the JSON spec. 

I feel like it's similar for gzip and servlet, it's at the protocol layer and not part of the Servlet specification.

But happy to hear from the group.

BSON became popular with MongoDB. Now it has its specification that is pretty similar to JSON; indeed, it is a binary JSON.
