Re: [jakartaee-platform-dev] [BALLOT] Include Jakarta NoSQL in EE 11

I know this has been mentioned before, but I still have doubts about the need to have a separate entity type. Support for NoSQL is certainly a very good idea, but maybe a tighter cooperation with Jakarta Persistence is possible?

Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms

Why:
The current architectural design seams to have more frequent updates required than is planed to have for Jakarta Platform releases - this give a strong argument to keep it outside the Platform now. Another requirement might be to have Jakarta Data and Jakarta Config added first.
In general having support for NoSQL is a good idea - so this may change in the future.

Best,
Jan

This email indicates the start of the fourteen calendar day ballot for inclusion of Jakarta NoSQL in EE 11. If you wish to review the DISCUSS thread, here it is:

NoSQL

I look forward to your votes.
