A committer election for Markus Karg on project Eclipse Jakarta EE Platform
(ee4j.jakartaee-platform) was started by Ivar Grimstad with this criteria:

Markus is one of the most active participants on the Jakarta EE Community
mailing list. He is also contributing very actively to discussions and issues
regarding the Jakarta EE Platform project. Markus is a long time member of
the JCP and the expert groups for JAX-RS 2.0 and 2.1 as well as being the far
most active committer on the Eclipse Project for JAX-RS under EE4J.
