Jakarta EE is the working group.

Since the top level project is EE4J, which could also be open to other projects like MicroProfile without all of its content forced to meet the stronger compatibility requirements of Jakarta EE (many seemingly prefer to be less compatible and free to use vendor specific elements or those from other stacks) they are free to say they're EE4J committers or simply Eclipse Committers but I'm not sure if there's a logo or badge for that.

I really don't see what your issue with this is.

- Why would you want to use the Jakarta EE Member badge if you are not a member of Jakarta EE Working Group?

- Why would you want to use the Jakarta EE Compatible badge if you didn't provide a compatible implementation?

After much deliberation, the Jakarta EE Marketing committee has chosen the final designs for the Jakarta EE Compatible badge and Jakarta EE Member badge. Please see the winning designs below:

As a reminder, the Jakarta EE Compatible badge will be used to identify compatible implementations that satisfy the requirements as identified in the Jakarta EE Trademark Guidelines, and will hopefully grow into a widely recognized and valuable brand for all involved. Note that these guidelines are likely to be updated soon to more clearly indicate the requirements related to completing the TCK - more on this to follow separately.  

 

The Jakarta EE Member badge may be used by all members of the Jakarta EE Working Group to identify their participation and show their support for the initiative.  

 

We'd like to thank Ryan St. James from Tomitribe, who is the designer of the Jakarta EE Compatible badge, for his submissions. We'd also like to thank the Jakarta EE Working Group members for taking the time to vote and provide their feedback.
