Re: [iot-wg] Eclipse IoT Community Metrics - November 2017

I am glad that people are paying attention :-)
Attached are the slides updated with correct GH metrics and website stats.

@Kai – thanks, it looks like GH stats for some of the projects were missing indeed. No idea how SmartHome ended up being removed from the website stats, and sorry about that!
@Alois – like I was saying, mailing list stats are broken right now (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=517890), and unfortunately Forum metrics are simply not being collected at all. I would encourage you to use https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=453417 as a way to advocate for the addition of forums in our global metrics collection.

Benjamin,

I also think that some statistics did not get the right data - I am a bit puzzled that hardly any project has opened or closed bugs (I cannot remember such a quiet November for SmartHome…) and it is also weird that SmartHome does not at all turn up on the website traffic stats.

Could you check?

Regards,
Kai

Dear  Benjamin,

thanks alot for colecting the statistics. They are as always very intersting for us. The only point I would like to clarify is that I noticed that we had in the last months always a zero with the messages. As we have a medium active forum and also some messages in the mailing list I just wanted to check if there is an issue in the data collection or if I configured somthing wrong in the setup you need.

Thanks in advance,
Alois

Hi,

Please find attached Eclipse IoT metrics from last month.
You will notice that mailing list stats (# of posted messages and # of unique senders) are broken right now. I suspect this is due to an infrastructure change and I’ve opened a couple bugzilla tickets to track this.

Thanks!
