I agree with the guidance Ian suggested. There are so many
IoT events and other methods for keeping track of them.
Limiting emails to Eclipse-related events would help cut down
on the white noise. One exception perhaps, would be to
announce when any members of this group are presenting at a
conference--their talks are an opportunity to gain some
visibility for the work of this group.

In the last couple of days there has been a number of emails
sent to
this list promoting different conferences. I would like to
keep this
mailing list focused on the activities of the IoT working
group and not
a list for general promotion.
However, I wanted to see how others felt about these types of
emails. I
sometimes will send an email about an IoT conference but it is
always an
event that where we are in some way participating.
