Re: [iot-testbeds] Production Performance Management Testbed

Hello,

Since one of my tasks is to secure the testbed server, I stumbled upon https://wiki.eclipse.org/OpenID.

Do you support the idea of setting up a keycloak for the testbed? In that case, I’d apply for an client ID.

Has someone here set up keycloak with Eclipse OpenID already?

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Subject: Production Performance Management Testbed

Dear all,

Thanks for today’s very constructive meeting [at EclipseCon]!

I’ve noted for the development of the testbed:

1.     Storage (David)

o    We prefer a hosted influx version

o    Influx would possibly provide a hosted version

o    Influx currently hosts on AWS US/West

o    testbed expects limited data volumes (max 500MB/day)

o    there’s limited multitenancy options (but that’s not priority for the testbed)

o    retention policy: possible default 7 days? David suggests

o    improve persistence structure

§  influx would create a PPMP go binding to be published in the Eclipse Unide project

§  influx creates a telegraph plugin (that uses the binding)

§  Benjamin could help with license questions (dual license EPL & EDL/BSD?)

o    Axel presents PPMP messages & processes, influx gives feedback on storage

2.     BCW, 21./22.2.2018 (Axel)

o    figure out possibility for Testbed / Unide Hackaton

o    Possible for Eclipse to get a booth?

3.     4diac (Alois)

o    Already have a simulated steam boiler that runs 24/7

o    Optionally a Festo rig for training

o    Provides C binding

4.     Testbed setup

o    Benjamin establishes one mailing list for all eclipse testbeds

o    Axel limits access to current db setup and sends credentials to Frank & David

o    Axel checks on requirements for data privacy with Bosch Data Safety Officer

o    Axel / Kai propose how PPMP is handled by Hono (deviceId in Url, device authentication)

5.     Unide

o    Axel splits PPMP validation from persistence endpoints

o    Jens implements PPMP transformation in camel and possibly further to OPC-UA/Milo

§  Needs input on how to transform

6.     Versioning / Roadmap (1. – 4.)

o    Next milestone: End of Januar 2018

I think that’s an ambitious plan but possible if we work together.

It would be really nice to see Eclipse projects coming to life like that!

Looking forward to discussing further on the upcoming mailing list.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards
