Dear PMCs,
we’re currently integrating in Kura some features for artificial intelligence.
In one implementation we’ll use the Nvidia Triton server [1], a service running on the device (or somewhere) that provides inference capabilities.
For communicating with the service, Nvidia provides some examples using the gRPC protocol and protobufs [2].
Following the example, we generated the java code from the provided protobufs and included this in our project (it seems that they don’t provide a prebuilt java classes).
How can we manage this from a license point of view?
The protobufs have a bsd3 license, that is compatible with the Eclipse one, and they will not be distributed in Kura/ESF.
Will the generated java files have a bsd3 or an Eclipse license? Do we need some sort of CQ for that?
Thanks,
Matteo
