And a +1 from me.  The release contents look very good indeed.

On the knowing about adoption question, have you tried getting users 
recommendations or written reviews?  (I've been having similar thoughts 
about the Paho clients.).

Mosquitto has 4.2k stars on Github for instance, that sounds like a good 
amount to me!
