Following email communication with Liviu, Project Lead, to fully understand the
situation regarding the files we identified for removal, we have his
confirmation these files have all been updated to open source subject to either
the BSD/Apache license as per [1] and [2]. Following internal discussions, we
believe there is very little risk with providing checkin of the attachment at
this time.
The motivation to do is based on the fact the project has further confirmed
these files are intended to no longer be a requirement based on an extensive
rewrite and use of new tooling which is planned for the end of Q4 (estimate).
At that time, this matter would be completely resolved.
With respect to the files with no headers, Liviu will ensure a Readme/About is
included to clearly identify those files are subject to the MIT.
Following PMCs +1, we will mark this CQ as pending to ensure we do no lose
site there is a requirement for follow-up to ensure the matter is fully
resolved.
