We will not distribute strace on our repositories. strace is essentially called
from a subprocess.
If strace is not present on a target machine, a python-based system call
monitoring and analysis tools, i.e., its tracing component, does not work - it
is not a mandatory feature for the Kuksa project.
I assume that this is "works-with" or "exempt pre-req". We are targeting AGL
(Automotive Grade Linux) as OS, and the AGL-version we are working with comes
with strace. I guess that this is true for many if not most linux-based OS.
Thus, I would consider strace as being "pervasive in nature" as required for
"exempt pre-req".
