| Hi Kai, We have not tested yet Kura with Java 11. But it is in the list of TODOs.
Regarding point 2, currently the Karaf distribution has no maintainer. We were in doubt to drop it and we had some discussion about it during our weekly meetings. We decided to leave it with the mark of “unmaintained code” hoping for one of the parties, that expressed their interest on the distribution, to step up and contribute to it. If there will be no feedback, we will remove it definitely.
As a side-note, I updated the release documentation mentioning also the fact that we updated Camel to version 2.21.1. I may have missed it during the various reviews.

Looks pretty good, a great progress on the project!
Two small questions from my side:
1. As Java 9 support is highlighted as a feature: Java 9 is EOL since spring 2018 already, meanwhile Java 11 is out - ideally, you should claim support of Java 11. Did you already do any tests there? Is there really a point in officially supporting Java 9 at that point in time?
2. What does „unmaintained code“ for Karaf want to express? That you do not know, whether it is working? That the documentation is outdated? That no bug fixes/PRs will be provided in future? That you are looking for a maintainer to step up? It is imho a very fuzzy statement for a release note.
