ICYMI. I really hope that people from the IoT PMC will consider applying to run for Committer Representative in the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors.
Having a committer representative from the IoT community would certainly help make sure that we make progress on the topics we care about (e.g security, IP policies, …).

Just a reminder that the 2017 Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors elections are coming up soon. Nominations will be opening on Tuesday, January 10th. We'll be sending out a reminder on that date.
The positions of Sustaining Members and Committer representatives are a vitally important part of the Eclipse Foundation's governance. I highly encourage everyone to consider participating.
Based on the number of strategic members anticipated as of February 1, 2017, there will be three elected Committer Member representatives and three elected Sustaining Member representatives on next year's board. The terms of office are from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.
Key dates:
January 10, 2017: Nominations open. To nominate someone, simply send an email to elections@xxxxxxxxxxx. Self-nominations are accepted.
January 31, 2017: Nominations close
February 3, 2017: Deadline for nominees to return their content to elections@xxxxxxxxxxx
February 7, 2017: List of nominees published on www.eclipse.org
February 8, 2017: Individual pages ready for candidate review
February 13, 2017: Nominees' personal pages made available on www.eclipse.org
February 21, 2017: Voting begins
March 10, 2017: Voting ends at 3pm Eastern time
March 20, 2017: New representatives announced at Eclipse Converge in San Jose, CA
