For example in leshan we have a couple of unmodified Apache commons class.
Because we wanted to avoid too much jar dependencies.

The code is copy/pasted as is, no modification since it's a compatible license.

It was done with the agreement of our gentle mentors :)

Now I think what is greatly discouraged is to fork (as with active development)
an external codebase.

Since Jan use case is looking legit, the license is compatible and he's not
forking a project at Eclipse and we have a CQ, I think it's fine.
