Hi Kai,

I understand the difficulty.  There are two different considerations that are
at play in this circumstance.  The first is whether code is being "maintained"
at Eclipse under a license other than the EPL.  If that is the case, then Board
approval is required.  A minor bug fix is unlikely to rise to the level of
"maintained".  On the other hand, a full fork at Eclipse is.  Each circumstance
is reviewed on its own merits.

With respect to code under different licenses, how it is handled may vary, and
in some circumstances, will depend on the licenses involved.  Co-mingling of
code under copyleft licenses would be problematic and in these cases we always
recommend keeping this code "separate".  Again, each circumstance must be
reviewed on its merits.  Your current approach is likely the most
straightforward.
