Re: [iot-pmc] GitHub Issues for Eclipse projects

Hi,

The mosquitto project has no history on github so github issues aren't a big deal in that sense. Having said that, I have seen community members bemoaning the use of bugzilla.

Cheers,

Roger

All,

As already mentioned in the past, Bugzilla also is a major problem for Eclipse SmartHome - as this project is closely linked to openHAB, it is always very difficult to divert people away from Github for entering issues, while they report openHAB 2 issues on Github and use Github for pull requests for Eclipse SmartHome. Often, discussions arise on pull requests, which is then already very similar to Github issues and there is no good reason to artificially move those discussions to Bugzilla.

Kai
