Hi everyone,

As you may have heard, this year, some members of the Eclipse IDE Working Group officially kicked off "Initiative 31", a project focused on investigating options to modernize Eclipse SWT and make it more future-proof. The project aims to enhance the look and feel of SWT, improve customizability, and reduce maintenance efforts. At the same time, it strives to ensure that applications built on Eclipse SWT will require minimal or no migration effort to adopt these improvements.
So, you’re invited to join our upcoming an "Interested Party Community Call":

📅 Date: November 28, 2024
🕒 Time: 3:30pm-4:30pm (CET) / 9:30am-10:30am (EST)

Register here:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1051933129307

Agenda:

  • Go over the findings from the Initiative31 project and discuss areas where SWT could be modernized.
  • Share community priorities and gather input to guide the next phases of the project.
  • Find contributors interested in working together on this project

If you’d like to take a look beforehand, the project details are available here: GitHub Repository.

Looking forward to meeting you!
