Re: [ide-dev] TextMate in Eclipse IDE
|
That's one, along side with "I'm gonna get my product developed for free" :)
But if a project is dead, I don't see which good it will do to bring it
to Eclipse.... For resurrection miracles, there are better places than
OSS foundations :)
If the reason for bringing an IDE related project to Eclipse is "be able
to ship it as part of the various packages", I think this is something
that needs to be discussed because I don't see this general approach
working (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=501547).

Is 'being dead' the only reason you can think of for moving a project to Eclipse.org?

What is the goal of moving projects to Eclipse.org, when they are well and
alive outside?

As far as I remember, LiClipse also upports textmate syntax specs

Would be great to also have LicLipse moving to Eclipse.org, but as far as I
remember about such discussions, Fabio wasn't much interested in it.
