Re: [ice-dev] Java 8 on Mac OSX

Hey Ray,

I use a Mac to develop for ICE. All I had to do was go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html and download the Mac JDK DMG. Once you unpack that and install, you should just have to point Eclipse to it in Preferences > Java > Installed JREs. Your new JRE should be located in /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines.

Let me know us know if you have any more trouble.

Alex

I am trying to get set up to dev ICE and I just found out that I need Java 8.  I am running Mac OSX and I know that you can have multiple javas on a Mac but there is a good bit of work to do.  Does anyone have any steps or sites to get java 8 installed?

Thanks
Ray
