Re: [ice-dev] Windows - Virtualbox - MPI problem

This is exactly what was happening. Launching ICE from a terminal session fixes the issue.

With a new version of the VM the problem started on a Linux host as well. I'm not sure why this didn't come up previously, as the disk image I'm using to load up the VM hasn't changed (though I did update VirtualBox, which always gives me some sort of trouble).

Thanks for the help
Andrew

Most likely the environment is not being configured correctly from the shortcut as Jordan suggested. The problem is most definitely not in ICE itself if the command from ICE works outside of it.

It's via a shortcut, that opens ICE in the command line. I think there may be more issues though. I booted back into Linux, and now the VM is corrupted. I'm redownloading the VM disk image now, so I'll see what happens when I can actually boot it up again.

Well, it could be that PTP is not interpreting your .bashrc's
environment properly. I'm not sure why this would be the case, exactly...

Are you running ICE via the command line, or by the "shortcut"?

When I try to launch I get a "cannot find libmpi.so.1" error that comes from inside CAEBAT, but running the same exact command used to launch CAEBAT from the command line works fine. This error does not occur on a Linux host. Any ideas?
