Re: [ice-dev] Version of VisIt I should use?

Additionally,  VisIt 2.9 has just been released and I have been told that this should have mesa support.  Theoretically, all that should be needed is to download the 2.9 binary from the VisIt website.

I haven't had a chance to test this yet.

That should work fine for only local connections on any OS. There is a beta of 2.9 for Linux available on our systems where you might expect to find it. I used that for remote connections for the video I used at EclipseCon, and I think Jordan was using that for his testing.
