Everyone,
I have made several changes to the build so that it will run faster. Please double check the build instructions page.
In short, I have setup SWTBot so it only runs in the two bundles where it is used and I split the build in two. If you want to package the binaries, you now need to right click the pom.xml file in org.eclipse.ice.repository and select Run As -> Maven install in addition to doing the normal build.
You should run the normal build when you are about to commit and the infrastructure build when you need binaries for testing or, now, development!
As you may recall, Alex and I have been putting in extra time over the past week to get ICE ready for use as a development platform. We have both reached the point in our scientific computing projects where we need what ICE offers in addition to regular Eclipse. The CDT, JDT, PDE, Marketplace and Updates service, and many other offerings are now bundled with ICE so that it can be used for a full, combined user and developer workflow. There are still some details to work out. Please let us know if you encounter problems.
