Re: [iam-dev] update instructions
|
Thanks Abel! Rather than try to figure it out, I installed Eclipse 3.5
(Galileo) and my plug-ins of choice (Spring, Clover, Subclipse) and it
seems to be working fine.
Cheers,
Mojo

That error is new for me... I suppose that you are using Eclipse 3.4
(Ganymede) and not the latest Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo).
Please try both of these:
- Refreshing the update sites (from the Software Update window) and
installing again
- Do not choose Buckminster and/or Subversive support
If you still have problems, please post the full P2 error (if there is
more). I am becoming proficient at deciphering those.

I'm sorry, I'm a little dense about Eclipse updates.
I'm currently on 0.9 of the IAM plug-in, so I successfully got past
that hurdle.
To update to 0.10, Eclipse reports this missing dependency:
Cannot complete the request. See the details.
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements
Match[requiredCapability:
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/org.eclipse.swt/[3.4.0.v3448f,3.4.0.v3448f]].
My problem is I can't tell from that error string which package it
is that needs updating. The dialog box all has descriptive package
names. :(
I'm wary of just updating everything -- I always seem to get into a
nightmare of incompatible updates.
