Re: [iam-dev] IAM for Eclipse 3.5
|
Please try installing the maven embedder from the usual (release) update site first, I missed that piece of information.
Then you should be able to install from p2-nightly. If you still have problems, let us know.
All feedback on 3.4/3.5 compatibility of the new build is welcome.

First, for those not signed into google, the url is non-https:

Second, I tried installing IAM on 3.5 and got this error message:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could
not be found.
Software being installed: Eclipse IAM Editors
0.10.0.20090617223935542-07c-7E77g7UAYEEIgIQQME
(org.eclipse.iam.feature.editor.feature.group
0.10.0.20090617223935542-07c-7E77g7UAYEEIgIQQME)
Missing requirement: Eclipse IAM Editors
0.10.0.20090617223935542-07c-7E77g7UAYEEIgIQQME
(org.eclipse.iam.feature.editor.feature.group
0.10.0.20090617223935542-07c-7E77g7UAYEEIgIQQME) requires
'org.apache.maven.embedder 0.0.0' but it could not be found
I tried various combinations of plugins. I don't recall which set was
chosen to produce the above error, but that was the smallest error
message.
Eclipse Galileo 3.5 (Build id: 20090621-0832)
Fedora Core 9 x64
JDK 1.5.0_18 x64
What am I missing? Are the install instructions still applicable at
http://code.google.com/p/q4e/wiki/Installation ?
Thanks.
