Re: [iam-dev] [VOTE] Release 0.9.0 in Q4E

Will we still have the buckminster and team integration in out update
site, just not their bundles... right?
Re: 2), I've created a folder for nightly builds, but something is not
working on build.eclipse.org with SR2 and the installed runtimes, so
you can use that (or create a new one, folders are cheap :-) ).

ok, I'll take a look
The other things that came up and I'd like to do
1) remove buckminster and team integration from update site, just add
the info on how to get them to the instructions
http://code.google.com/p/q4e/wiki/UpgradingToEclipseIAM
2) Make a new update-site-iam so we dont mix Q4E bundles and IAM
Thoughts?

Using the commandline script in the pde-build project, a p2
repository will
be built.
It looks ugly (lacks categories and has 2 "aggregate" bundles), but
works
for unstable builds. It should be possible to reuse that metadata
for the
stable build (changing some name or url and maybe adding the
categories back
for grouping features)

you mean deleting the site.xml after building? or generating
directly

Update: I have generated a new build (locally) and installed IAM
(without
team and buckminster support) on a fresh eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR2-
win32
by
pointing Software Updates to the local p2 repository generated
during the
build.
This worked.
Installing the org.eclipse.iam.all feature also worked.
Maybe we should publish the p2 site and forget about the "old"
site.xml?
(at
least for nighties)

Now I can see latest IAM (20090428...) installed, but some
features are
not available (like the pom editor, even when the feature is
installed). If
I try to install from the update site, I can only see an older
version
(20090324...), even after refreshing several times and even
uninstalling.
I can only see 0.9.0.20090324... on the Software Updates
interface (for
http://q4e.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/updatesite-dev/).
I see that the update site metadata has references to 200805...
Is there anybody else not seeing this update? Or there is
something
broken
on my environment?
I'm attaching an screenshot of all the versions Software Update is
finding.
