RE: [higgins-dev] Website improvements

I like it!
I assume we could add our own higgins branded border at the top? Also would this apply only to the web pages, with the wiki pages still having the standard Eclipse top border?

Subject: [higgins-dev] Website improvements

One of the biggest complaints we get about the Higgins website is that people "get lost".  It has been way too easy for someone to click on a link that takes them somewhere outside the Higgins project and then not be able to find their way back. The new ability to have wiki navigation links match the project website navigation links is a big help. The other way people get lost is that they click on the tabs at the top of the page. These tabs look very inviting, and end up confusing people.  It has strongly been suggested that Higgins adopt a more Apache like approach to their web pages.

For example, here is a sample Higgins home page without the top banner http://www.eclipse.org/higgins/ver2/

There is still a link at the bottom of the page to take you to the Eclipse Home page, if you want.

Does anyone object to removing the top banner as part of the Higgins website improvement project?  (Yes, there are other things we would do to rebalance the screen when we make this change. I'm just asking about this element as it has a big impact.)
