RE: [higgins-dev] Higgins Wiki Usage Suggestion

Chris,

Well I tried what you suggested on a couple of pages….

The bad news is that instead of saying “[[RCP Selector Solution]]” you now have to either say [[Solutions/RCP Selector Solution]] which has an ugly “/” in there (even if we remove the redundant/trailing “Solution word), or say [[Solutions/RCP Selector Solution | RCP Selector Solution]] which is a royal pain to type every time.

The good news is, yes you get breadcrumbing.

On balance, I think we’re better off the way we were.

[But all the above pales in comparison with the mass confusion between eclipse website navigation and eclipse wiki navigation. Until these two are integrated into the same overall navigational scheme, folks are going to continue to get lost. Bjorn and all the Eclipse folks know about the problem, but there’s still not yet a solution.]

Subject: [higgins-dev] Higgins Wiki Usage Suggestion

Hi all, I was browsing the Higgins Wiki (http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Solutions) and noticed the way you have structured information could be improved.

For example, it's recommended Eclipse projects do something like this:
        http://wiki.eclipse.org/Higgins/Solutions

versus
        http://wiki.eclipse.org/Solutions

This way, you get breadcrumbing for free in your wiki pages and your pages are qualified.

Cheers,
