RE: [higgins-dev] Entity reference issues: &
|
Thanks Paul! Yeah, Mark pointed that one out, I brain cramped it in my generator. Is that the only change you had to make? I ask because:
1. Protégé will not handle even one & when I put one in the "manual" example HigginsLDAP0.1.x.owl. It may just be Protégé (I guess you get what you pay for) but I'm still looking for a "Higgins recommendation" on OWL editor. Preferably something we could use free or under the Higgins umbrella.
2. I haven't created the referenced equivalentClass and equivalentProperty definitions for the urn:oid elements in my automated example ldapTest.owl. In the manual example, this was the only way I could get it to load into Protégé (with the additional '#' issue I raised earlier). Does not having those definitions make my ontology OWL Full? Or should it not really be legal at all without the referenced equivalencies being defined? I think that's what Mark was saying.
BTW, if I have the & in my ontology, I get one processing error from Protégé and if I replace them, I get another. The second processing error indicates that it's trying to handle the equivalencies so I know, at least for Protégé, I'd have to put the urn:oid definitions in there, but that brings the '#' discussion back into play. That's why I'm wondering if we can use the same OWL tool. Anyway, I see you've sent several replies to my other e-mails, so I'll check through those and see if you have some ideas for some of these.

In the attached I've replaced all owl:subClassOf with rdfs:subClassOf
