Tom, et al,
Currently the Eclipse Foundation does not allow any GPL'ed code to be
distributed from eclipse.org servers. Thus a Hibachi distro that includes
GNAT/GPL or gnuada could not be hosted at Eclipse under the Hibachi
project. These legal reasons are why Doug's Wascana is not an Eclipse
project. A Hibachi distro that works with a pre-installed Ada
compiler is fine as long as the distro does not require a
particular compiler. FYI. (If you have further questions about these
policies, please do not hesitate to ask.)

9) It is Hibachi's intention to create a complete self-contained
Ada/Eclipse development environment "distribution", like Doug Schaefer's
Wascana. This will allow people to start quickly with Hibachi, which given
the fact that many Adaists are not (yet!) Eclipse enthusiasts, will allow
them to quickly and easily try it out. The question arises as to which Ada
compiler to include, GNAT/GPL (Libre), gnuada (sourceforge). Gnuada seems to
have the nod for platform support as well as the possibility of the team
(MacAda included) contributing to Hibachi and possibly taking ownership of
the distribution.
