Glad to hear that you consider Eclipse hawkBit as a software deployment service for your IoT solution. I'm sorry to see your request still unanswered by the community.

HawkBit's community is much more responsive on GitHub issues or in particular on Gitter Chat (https://gitter.im/eclipse/hawkbit). I'm pretty sure you’ll find someone there who is willing to share either knowledge or respond to your questions.

 

Besides that I hope that there are no major problems and/or pitfalls you should be aware of :)

The only thing that comes to my mind right now is still the build dependency to JDK 8 due to the use of Vaadin 7. But we're already working on this (by upgrading version of Vaadin).

at Jungheinrich, we are currently evaluating hawkBit as a software deployment service for our IoT solution. We would like to know if someone would be available and willing to share some knowledge about common problems and/or pitfalls to avoid when setting up hawkBit.

We also have some general questions around how to use/deploy and scale hawkBit to validate if it really fits our use case.

 

So if someone would be available for a call, or maybe could point us to someone who could hep us we would be very grateful. Of course we would re-integrate our findings in the public documentation in case it is interesting for a wider audience.
