Given the open heart surgery involved I'm in favour of master.
I know Arjan is currently battling with moving master to 6.0.0-SNAPSHOT.

Will the Jakarta EE 9 code changes be done on the master branch or a topic branch? I'm asking for the TCK discussion [1] about which GlassFish branch the TCK should test (initially).
