[gemini-dev] Gemini-Blueprint: Looking for committers and project lead.

Dear Gemini List!

 

I am the project lead for gemini-blueprint. As such, I was not able to make any meaningful investments into the project in the last years. This is mostly owing to me moving into a different technological direction and a high professional workload. I am, however, still convinced of the project’s value to a small but important community of OSGi users.

 

Currently, I have a request from Atlassian (see https://github.com/eclipse-gemini/gemini.blueprint/pull/9) to upgrade blueprint to Spring 6. Since this implies switching to a Java 17 baseline and adapting numerous updates, it is not an easy feat, and I am unable to invest the necessary time.

 

I am thus looking for anyone willing to join the effort. In addition, should someone on this list be interested in taking over the project’s lead to more actively drive development, I would very much welcome passing it on.
